Moderator: Mitch Broder
Tickets: $11/$9 (Seniors/Students)

A Tickle in the Heart captures the past, present and future of the remarkable Epstein brothers – Max, Julie and Willie-Klezmer music legends on a joyous international comeback tour. “Completely charming!”…This is a cinematic party with three of the funniest men in show business. The Epstein's are natural performers, and their sense of life , music, and family as they tour through places they love – from Poland to Brooklyn to Florida – is as life affirming and intoxicating as the joyous music they play. The film is a uniquely American story that has the elegant, polished feel of a European art film. “ Irresistible music…One from the heart!” It will “affect you like a sweet, potent wine, leaving you enlightened and sated.” - The New Yorker

Tickets: $11/$9 (Seniors/Students)

Academy Award Nominee for Best Foreign Language Film, Beaufort is a movie of tremendous power and one of the strongest examples yet of the fearless new wave that has made Israeli’s cinema a force on the international scene. This harrowing Israeli war drama combines an unusually dexterous ensemble cast and a director’s visionary combination of gritty objectivity and keen sensitivity to the tangle of terror, duty, and sacrifice common to soldiers of any era. Suspenseful, poetic and heartbreakingly transcendent, this piece is a haunting anti-war movie. Joseph Cedar won Best Director at the Berlin Film Festival 2007.

Faces of Israel is a new and exciting film that explores the delicate balance between state and religion in the Jewish homeland through the hot topic of marriage and civil unions. The film has been called “powerful…mature…honest… sophisticated and a must see” and has been endorsed by a wide spectrum of Jewish leaders. The documentary poses questions, such as: How should Jewish tradition influence Israeli law? Should the Israeli Chief rabbinate represent the views of all denominations of Judaism? Join us for the Westchester premiere of relevant film viewing and dynamic discussion that will explore these important issues and how they are changing Israel today.

For over three decades, there has been one singular sensation: A Chorus Line, the groundbreaking hit musical inspired by the emotional lives of dancers during the audition process. Now the story comes full circle as a new documentary offers an unprecedented look at the auditions for the Broadway revival of the perennial classic, including interview footage with Michael Bennett, Marvin Hamlisch and Donna McKechnie, to name a few. The music, the moves and the real-life drama are electric in this “thrilling dazzler…an enthralling and superb chronicle of the struggles and triumphs of the theater.”- New York Post
