About the Directors
The preschool years are the time when
children are open to the world and to learning the basis of language,
physical skills and social interactions. At the JCC, three, four and five
year olds enjoy swimming in our indoor heated pool, working off energy in
our full-sized gymnasium and climbing in our Noah’s Ark Biblical-theme
playground. Families participate in a variety of events, such as the annual
Pajama Party, Nursery School Art Show, Holiday Parties and School Visit Day,
and are invited to share a Friday Shabbat with their child’s class. Great
programs also available for two year olds!
Goals: Promote healthy physical, social and cognitive growth; encourage
self-awareness, understanding and confidence; and help youngsters develop a
sense of security with adults and peers in a safe, nurturing environment.
Staff
Warm, competent, experienced teachers (licensed in Early Childhood
Education) and assistant teachers are all supervised
by the Director.

Lunch
Bunch
Monday, September 20, 2010 -
Thursday, May 26, 2011
Lunch Bunch is for all JCC Early Childhood and other children. Cared for by
competent personnel, children eat lunch (brought from home), play and have a
wonderful time. Lunch Bunch bridges the gap between activities such as
school and JCC classes, or it can serve as an extended day. Arrangements can
be made for children to go from Lunch Bunch to regularly scheduled JCC
classes such as school, Super Sports, Creative Movement, art or gym. We can
escort children from classes to and from Lunch Bunch with the exception of
an occasional scheduling conflict.
Reservations and payment must be made in advance.
Priority registration is available from June 15-July 3 for children enrolled
in 2010-2011 JCC Nursery School.
Lunch Bunch
follows the Early Childhood Center schedule for holidays, JCC closings and
snow days. No refunds/credits issued for missed time.
